What is the MAYA Project?

The project adapts the core principles of Montessori pedagogy to adult learning, creating an environment that promotes self-awareness, confidence, and autonomy. This approach enables participants not only to acquire new professional skills but also to strengthen their self-confidence, emotional resilience, and life skills.

MAYA helps young women discover their potential, take responsibility for their learning paths, and become active members of society. Through mentoring programmes, open educational resources (OER), and local actions, the project builds a sustainable learning network between trainers and women. This innovative approach promotes women’s empowerment through education while fostering social inclusion and equal opportunities across Europe.

“MAYA is an Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Union and implemented with the support of the Turkish National Agency.”
