    About The Project

    MAYA – Mainstreaming Actions to reinforce professional dimension and emotional side of Young Adult NEET women in Europe.

    Empowering NEET Women through the Montessori Approach

    MAYA supports young women aged 25–29 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) by introducing a modern adaptation of the Montessori methodology. Through personalized learning, emotional development, and practical skills training, the project helps them build confidence and re-enter the labor market with stronger professional and personal foundations.

    Collaborative European Partnership

    The project brings together partners from Turkey, Portugal, Austria, and Italy, combining expertise from education, social work, and youth development. This transnational cooperation ensures that the MAYA model reflects diverse European perspectives and can be applied across different social and cultural contexts.

    Open Educational Resources for Lifelong Learning

    MAYA develops an interactive digital platform with free, open-access educational materials, mentorship programs, and training curricula. These Open Educational Resources (OER) will allow youth workers and organizations across Europe to implement the MAYA model and support NEET women well beyond the project’s lifetime.
