MAYA Project Multiplier Event Attracted Great Interest in Konya
The Multiplier Event of the MAYA Project (Mainstreaming Actions to Reinforce the Professional Dimension and Emotional Side of Young Adult NEET Women in Europe), coordinated by Selçuk University and funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ Programme, was held on Friday, 19 June 2026, at the Meram Public Education Center in Konya.
A total of 81 participants attended the event, including young NEET women, youth workers, educators, public education center staff, and representatives of local stakeholder institutions. Participants represented three target groups: 49 young NEET women, 25 youth workers/educators, and 7 stakeholder representatives. Thus, the event successfully achieved the project’s target of reaching 80 participants.

Project Outputs Presented
Following the opening speeches, participants were introduced to the objectives of the MAYA Project, its target group of NEET young women aged 18–35, the partnership structure, and the project work packages.
The main project outputs presented during the event included:
- The MAYA Handbook based on Montessori principles;
- A seven-module Training Curriculum and Mentoring Programme;
- Five interactive tools (goal map, project simulation, peer circle, role play, and skills exchange fair);
- Open Educational Resources (OER) available at mayaproject.eu.
Experiences from the pilot implementation of the NEET group trainings (TG1) and youth worker sessions (TG2) were also shared. Participants raised questions about adapting the methodology to their own institutions and accessing the online resources.

High Participant Satisfaction
According to the anonymous feedback survey conducted at the end of the event, participant evaluations were highly positive. The overall average score across seven evaluation dimensions was 4.63 out of 5, with 99% of responses falling within the “high” and “very high” categories. The highest-rated aspect was the “willingness to participate in similar events again” (4.90). Participants identified the presentation of the interactive tools and the sharing of pilot experiences as the most beneficial parts of the event.
Sustainability and Cooperation
The strong interest shown by stakeholder institutions and participants’ willingness to implement the MAYA outputs in their own work demonstrated that the project results are likely to continue beyond the project period. The Open Educational Resources available on mayaproject.eu remain freely accessible to everyone working in the field of supporting young NEET women.
